During the 2016 special sessions, the Louisiana legislature raised our state sales tax by 25%, added an internet sales tax, and found scores of other ways to fleece the state’s population. At the same time, they didn’t cut a single “consulting” contract, and there are about 18,600 of them. Division of Administration estimates say they cost our state $2 BILLION a year. Tell John Bel Edwards and the state legislature that we don’t live to serve them, they’re employed by us, and we expect them to run a tidy ship.
